Product Review: Ulta Rose Gold Eyeshadow Palette

Hello everyone.Today's post is going to be a product review over the Ulta Rose Gold Eyeshadow Palette. You can purchase this product from Ulta for $20.

This palette comes with 12 eyeshadows. There is a good selection of mattes and shimmers. I also feel like there is a good selection of light, medium, and dark colors so you are really able to get a wide range of different looks with this palette. I think these eyeshadows are very creamy and pigmented. To be honest I have tried a few of Ulta's single eyeshadows before and was not very impressed, so I did not have very high hopes for this palette. Boy was I surprised; I really like this palette and have been using it consistently for the past few weeks.

Now let's jump into the packaging.

The 12 eyeshadows are split into two rows of six eyeshadows. They are also divided by their formula. The six shimmer eyeshadows are on the top row while the six matte shadows are on the bottom row.

I think this palette has a really compact and sleek packaging. It is a basic black cardboard material type of packaging. This palette feels very nicely made and sturdy. I also think that the thickness of this palette is a nice size; it does not take up a lot of  space in my makeup drawer.

This palette also comes with a really nice eyeshadow brush. The bristles are soft, but it still picks up the eyeshadow well and it also applies the color nicely. This brush has made me want to try more of Ulta's makeup brushes.

Now let's look more at the colors in this palette.

Like I said before this palette comes with 12 eyeshadows. Six of them are shimmers and are located in the top row; the other six shadows are matte and are in the bottom row of the palette. I think these shadows have a smooth finish to them. They are very creamy and pigmented. I have not noticed much fall-out with them on my eyes.

Now for the swatches!

The top row.
The colors from left to right.

  • Champagne: This color is a gorgeous shimmery champagne color. I love this color on the lids.
  • Pink: This color is a  pretty shimmery baby pink. I also really love this color on the  lids.
  • Hopeless Romantic: This color is a  pretty shimmery mauve. I think it looks good on both the lids as well as in the crease.
  • Chandelier: This color is a  pretty shimmery/bronzy gold. I think this color could be beautiful in the summer on both the lids and in the crease.
  • Luxe: This color is a really pretty cool brown. It is one that I would say is in between a matte and a shimmer.
  • Dahlia: This color is a really pretty dark plum color. This color in the pan does have some glitter in it, but once it is applied to the eye is is more of a hybrid color much like luxe is.

The bottom row.
The colors from left to right.

  • Prosecco: This  is a really pretty matte cream color. It makes both a pretty highlight shade or even a lid shade if you want more of a natural look.
  • Bubbles: This  is a  pretty matte baby pink color. I think this color is prettiest on the lids.
  • Breathless:  This  a matte mauve color. This color in the crease paired with Hopeless Romantic on the lid would be a gorgeous combo.
  • Dessert:  This color is a really nice matte medium brown shade. This shade works really well as crease blending color.
  • Sweetheart: This color is a dark matte brown. It works good as both  a pretty outer v shade or as an eyeliner.
  • Orchid: This color is a really pretty matte grey/cool brown color. I think it would pair well with Luxe in the crease.
Here is a quick everyday look that I have been wearing with this palette.

Step 1:
I started with applying Champagne to my lid and inner corner.

Step 2:
Next I applied Breathless into my crease.

Step 3:
Then I applied Dessert to my outer v, Prosecco  to my brow bone, and mixed Breathless with Dessert and applied those to my lower lash line.

Step 4:
Lastly I applied some brown eyeliner to my upper and lower lash lines and also applied two coats of my favorite mascara.

And here is the finished look.

Overall, I would highly recommend this eyeshadow palette. I think it was good quality and also a good price. It has a very nice formula for the eyeshadows and very sleek packaging.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and if you have any questions or comments leave a comment down below or send me an email to KatchingUpWithKaitlyn@gmail.com
I hope you all have a great rest of the week and weekend and I will talk to you all again on Tuesday. :) Until next time.....

Update and Outfit of the Day

Hello everyone! I am so sorry that I haven't had any posts the past few days. I have just been super busy this past week. Last Monday did not have a post due to the fact that I was traveling and didn't have time to get a post together.

I did get a post up Wednesday and I had the full intention to have a new post on Friday, but on Thursday I started my first job!!!

I was so excited for that big chapter in my life, but my hours were already long so I missed Friday's post.

So now I want to try a different schedule for this blog. I am going to try and post on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I hope this will be easier with my hectic schedule and I hope that it will also still allow me the ability to put up content that I love and hopefully that you all will love too.

To start off this new schedule....Let's begin with an outfit of the day. (Sorry the picture is a little bit blurry). This was what I wore yesterday (Monday). The weather where I live was finally beautiful after a week's worth of rain. It was finally looking like spring outside.

My tank tops and my cardigan are from Old Navy.
My jeans are also from Old Navy ( They are the sweetheart style).
My shoes are white lace keds.

Here is the jewelry that I wore:

My ring is from Old Navy.
My bracelets are LC Lauren Conrad from Kohls.
I have the FitBit Flex,
My watch was a gift.

Well that is all for this post. Don't forget to check back here for new posts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I hope you all enjoyed my quick outfit of the day. If you would like to see anymore outfit ideas just leave me a comment down below or send me an email to KatchingUpWithKaitlyn@gmail.com
Until next time....

Battle of the Beauty: Dry Shampoo

Hello everyone. Sorry for not having a post on Monday. I was gone over the weekend and didn't return home until late Sunday night. But now we are back on schedule. :)

Today we are going to be doing a "Battle of the Beauty" over dry shampoos. I am simply going to review for you a couple of dry shampoos that I have tried and at the end I will let you know which one is my favorite.

First up we have the Batiste Dry Shampoo. You can find this at most drugstores for around $6-$8. I recommend checking out your local T.J. Maxx though because I can often find them for a cheaper price and T.J. Maxx has a bigger selection of the scents.

The scent that I have here is the cool and crisp fresh scent. I have however tried many of the other scents and they all smell good to me. The only time that I can smell the scent of this dry shampoo is when I first apply it to my hair. I do not smell it on my hair throughout the day or even the next morning after having worn it.

Now for the packaging and the amount of product that Batiste gives you. The packaging is a typical aerosol spray can. The product sprays out as a white powder, but once you work it into your hair it disappears.

With the Batiste Dry Shampoo you get 6.73 fl. oz or 120 g.

Also with the packaging on the Batiste bottle you get very well explained directions with pictures. These are very helpful if you are new to using dry shampoo.

How I use this dry shampoo is first I will shake the bottle and then spray it on my roots. While I am doing this I hold it about 6 inches away from my head. I then let it sit on my roots for about 5 to 7 minutes. ( Don't be scared by the white hair you will have at this point. We will take care of it.) After it has sat on my hair for a few minutes I will then rub it into my scalp until it disappears and is no longer white. After this point I go on and style my hair as usual.

I notice that when I use the Batiste Dry Shampoo, I cannot feel it in my hair. I can go about 2 to 3 days using this product. ( I reapply it every morning of those days just because my hair tends to get oily quickly.) By the third day is when I start to feel it in my hair, but by the third day I usually wash my hair again anyways. I notice that this dry shampoo always makes my hair look cleaner and not greasy.

Next up we have the Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo. You can also find this dry shampoo at most drugstores. I do not remember how much I purchased mine for, but it was affordable. In fact, I believe it was around the $6 price that I can find the Batiste Dry Shampoo on sale for.

The scent that I have of this product is the uplifting citrus scent. I do believe that this dry shampoo also comes in other scents, but I have not tried them. This scent when I first sprayed the product was very strong and I did continue to smell in on my hair throughout the day. It does have a nice fruity citrus smell.

Now for the packaging and the amount of product that you get with Herbal Essences. This packaging is also the typical aerosol spray can. This product sprays out of the bottle clear.

With Herbal Essences you get 4.9 oz or 140 g.

With this packaging there are no pictures to go along with the directions. I do like how the company is a little sassy with how bluntly they tell you to apply this product.

I use this dry shampoo the same way that I use the Batiste. I start by shaking the bottle and then applying it to the roots of my hair. I then let it sit on my hair for about 5 to 7 minutes. The only difference with this product is that it does not really have a color on the hair; in fact it might have a small whitish tint to it but it is no where near as white as the Batiste Dry Shampoo. After the few minutes have went by, I then rub this product into my scalp and then style my hair as usual.

When I use the Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo I can feel it in my hair instantly. Even if you shake up the bottle it sprays out and almost leaves your hair feeling wet. It is almost like when you spray too much hairspray and it leaves your hair looking dirty. When I go to rub this product in it also makes my hair feel really sticky, which defeats the whole purpose because once you spray this in your hair you will definitely have to wash your hair that night or the next morning.

As you probably can tell the winner of this battle is the Batiste Dry Shampoo. When I can find the Batiste Dry Shampoo on sale it is the same price of the Herbal Essences, but if I cannot find it on sale I  do not care to purchase it full price for a few dollars more. The Batiste Dry Shampoo is one of my holy grail hair products. It is one product that I always have to have a backup in my medicine cabinet. If you want to train your hair and be able to go a few days without washing it, but you do not want it to look dirty or greasy I would highly recommend trying out this product.

Well I hope you all enjoyed this "Battle of the Beauty". If you have any requests for more battles please leave your suggestion either in the comments or send me an email to KatchingUpWithKaitlyn@gmail.com. Until next time.....

XOXO,
Kaitlyn

Product Review: Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains

Hello Everyone. Today's post is going to be a product review. Actually, it should be more of a product rave. The product that I am talking about is the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains.

According to Revlon's website these lip products are supposed to add " a new level of glossy, wet color." These Products result in "Saturated lips with brilliant shine and vivid color." There website also states that these lip products come in "12 Luscious shades".

I would have to say that I agree with all of these claims. All four of the colors that I have of this lip product do drench my lips in rich color. I also feel that they are all true to the colors that they appear to be. I also agree with the "brilliant shine" claim. I love the shine that these products give my lips. I feel like this lip product is the perfect hybrid of a lipstick and lip gloss. With these lip products you can get the color intesity of a lipstick and then of course the shine of a lip gloss, and all of this comes wrapped up into one product. This fact saves me the hassle of having to carry around with me two lip products as opposed to one. As for the consistency, these lip products are just the right amount of stickiness where they have enough grip to stay on your lips, but yet they also do not get your hair stuck in them (we all know those windy days that I'm talking about),

So now we shall move onto the colors that I have.

The colors:

  • 005 Parisian Passion is a beautiful plum/burgundy color. This color is opaque with one swipe across the lips. This color I think is gorgeous for the fall/winter seasons.
  • 001 India Intrigue is a really beautiful pink/purple shade. This color does take a couple swipes across the lips to reach the full opacity. This color I believe could work for both the fall and spring seasons as a transition lip shade either into darker lip colors or into brighter lip colors.
  • 015 Barcelona Nights is a rich pinky red color. This color is opaque with one swipe across the lips. This color I believe is gorgeous for any time of the year.
  • 020 Rio Rush is a bright, hot pink color. This color is opaque with one swipe across the lips. I think this color will be great for the warm summer months.

Now with that being said let's look at the swatches.

Left to Right:  020 Rio Rush, 015 Barcelona Nights, 001 India Intrigue, and 005 Parisian Passion.
As you can see these colors are all beautiful.

Now I would like to talk about the packaging. First of all, these lip products come in square packaging; I really like this. I think that this helps the product to stand out because most lip products that I have ever seen come in round or cylindrical packaging. I also think that this shape of packaging helps to store the products easier in my makeup drawer because they can stack much easier than a typical round lipstick can.
The second part of this packaging is the color. I love how Revlon mixes black with the color of the certain shade. I think the black lids to these products help give them a classy and uniform look. The bottom half of the packaging is the color of the product inside. This is not a clear bottom with you seeing the product through it, but despite this I believe the plastic bottom matches what the actual colors of the products very well. I also like the design and color of this packaging because it helps me to be able to see the shade that I am reaching for instead of having to read a small label on the bottom of a completely black lipstick tube.
As for the applicator to this packaging, I also like it. The wand for this product is sort of a pointed cone shape. This shape is very helpful for being very precise with the application of this product, which is helpful since all of these colors are very bright. The center of the wand has a small dip which helps to catch just the right amount of product for the perfect application to the lips.

If you can not tell, I am in love with these lip products. I think they are a great product from the drugstore. I would recommend if you are going to only buy one to shop at somewhere such as Target or Walmart, but if you are going to purchase more than one I would check out Walgreens or CVS simply because these brands are usually on sale buy one get one 50 % off.

I love all of the colors, but my absolute favorite from the bunch that I have is 015 Barcelona Nights. As it gets closer to the Spring and Summer time, I plan to try more of the coral/orange shades from this line. I hope you all enjoyed this review and I highly recommend checking out this product the next time you are looking for a new lip product. Until next time....

Kaitlyn

Recipe: Kaitlyn's Kozy Kold Day Chili

Hello Everyone. Today's post is going to be over my recipe for the perfect kozy and kold day chili. The weather where I live lately has been the definition of winter weather. We have been covered with snow and ice for the past month. So needless to say this recipe has been used quite frequently at my house as of late. This recipe is very simple to make, but it tastes very complex.

So without further to do let's jump into the recipe or shall I say the kitchen. :)

First of all, here are the ingredients that you will need:
  • The meat of your choice. I use ground turkey meat to help make it healthier, but ground beef also tastes good in it as well.
  • Stewed or canned diced tomatoes. I usually only use about two cans of diced tomatoes and one can of tomato sauce, but I was out of sauce so I found a jar of homemade canned stewed tomatoes. This extra jar just helped to add extra juice to the chili.
  • Your can(s) of beans. I like to use a quartet of four different types of beans. I use pinto beans, black beans, light red kidney beans, and dark red kidney beans. Sometimes if I can not find a can of one of the types of beans I will use a can of actual chili beans.
  • The last ingredient you will need I forgot to put in this picture. It is simply your choice of seasoning. I simply like to use plain old chili seasoning.
So now let's get to Kook'in.

Step 1:
  • For step 1, all you need to do is cook you meat of choice in a skillet on the stove top. For this ground turkey I just cooked it until it was golden brown.

Step 2:
  • Step 2 you can prepare while you are browning the meat of your choice. In this step I just added all the cans of my tomatoes and beans to a big pot.
  • With the tomatoes I added in about half of an empty can worth of water to help add even more juice.
  • For the beans I poured everything from the cans of the light and dark red kidney beans in the pot, but the pinto and black beans I drained the juice from their cans through a colander before I added the pinto and black beans to the large pot.

Step 3:
  • In Step 3, I added my golden brown turkey meat to my tomato and bean mixture. I then put the pot on the stove top on about medium heat.
  • I cook it on this temperature for about 30 to 45 minutes making sure to stir it frequently to avoid the ingredients from sticking to the bottom of the pot.

Step 4:
  • This step involves the ingredient that I forgot to put in my previous picture; this step involves the chili seasoning.
  • I like to add in chili seasoning various times throughout this recipe.
  • One of the first times that I add chili seasoning to the chili is after I mix all of the other ingredients together and put them on the stove top.
  • Throughout the 30 to 45 minutes that I cook the chili I also sprinkle some of the seasoning into the chili.
  • Lastly, I add just a bit more of the chili seasoning at the very end.
  • I like to add the chili seasoning this way because I feel that as the chili cooks, some of the flavor from the seasoning gets lost so I add it multiple times. I also just sprinkle however much I think it needs in to the chili; I do not specifically measure a certain amount out.

Step 5:

  • This step is after the chili has been cooking on medium heat for the 30 to 45 minutes.
  • At this point I turn the chili down to low heat so that is can cook for just about 5 to 10 more minutes before serving. This is also the point that I will add one last sprinkle of chili seasoning.

At this point the chili is ready to be served. You can eat it plain, but I personally like to dress it up a bit with some extras. I like to add a small sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese and a dollop of plain Greek yogurt as a substitute for sour cream. This is another tip like using ground turkey which helps make this recipe a tad bit healthier. I also like to add some whole wheat saltines to my bowl.

This recipe makes several servings worth. What my family and I like to do with the leftovers to spice things up is to either have chili dogs or homemade chili fries.

Well I hope that you all enjoyed this recipe and I hope that you all try it out. Until next time...

XOXO,
Kaitlyn

Walgreens Haul

Hello Everyone. Today's post is over my Walgreens Haul. I recently went to Walgreens and noticed that they had some exciting new things. I found some new things from Walgreens Studio 35 Beauty line, some new nail polish collections, new Wet N Wild displays, and a new E.L.F. display.

Really quick I wanted to tell you all about the new E.L.F. display at my Walgreens. It is inspired by Disney's Frozen. Now even though my friends and I are in college, we love the movie Frozen; we always catch ourselves singing the songs or quoting lines from the movie, so I was beyond excited when I saw this display. This display was on the end cap of aisle. The E.L.F. display featured several eye products, lip products, face products, nail polishes, makeup bags, and even a palette. Everything had Elsa on it.

So now without much more wait, let's see what I ended up buying.

  1. Essie "Petal Pushers" Polish
  2. Wet N Wild Fergie Vicious Varnish High Shine Lip Stain in "Legendary Face"
  3. Wet N Wild Fergie Around the Clock Blush in "Brush With Destiny"

Product Empties

Hello Everyone. Today's post will be over my product empties. These empty products were products that I have spent the last few months finishing up. I have split my empties into several smaller categories. Within these categories I will share with you the products that were standouts to me and will also be products that I will definitely repurchase at some point. I hope you enjoy.

First off we have my body products:
  1. L'Oreal Ideal Moisture Even Skin Tone Day/Night Cream ( Click Here To Purchase )
  2. Bath and Body Works Winter Candy Apple Shower Gel and Body Lotion ( No Longer Available)
  3. Bath and Body Works Sugar Plum Dream Ultra Shea Body Cream ( Scent No Longer Available)
  4. Gold Bond Ultimate Lotion Restoring with CoQ10 ( Click Here To Purchase )
  5. EOS Shave Cream in Vanilla Bliss ( Click Here To Purchase )
  6. Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Radiant Lotion ( Click Here To Purchase )
  7. Bath and Body Works PocketBac in Peach Pecan Cupcake ( Scent No Longer Available)
  8. The Body Shop Body Butter in Early Harvest Raspberry ( Click Here To Purchase )
Out of these products, my favorites were the Bath and Body Works products, the EOS shave cream, and the Vaseline lotion. The Bath and Body Works products were Christmas gifts and I was both sad and excited to have finished them up. The shower gel and lotion, no matter what the scent, work very well together to help keep you smelling delicious all day. I plan to repurchase more of these in different scents in the future. The EOS shave cream will also be a repurchase because it is the only shave cream that I can use that does not give my legs razor rash. Lastly, the Vaseline lotion I have already repurchased because I love the scent. This lotion absorbs into the skin very quickly and keeps the skin very moisturized.

Next is the Hair Products:
  1. L'Oreal Advance Hair care Volume Filler Thickening Shampoo ( Click Here To Purchase )
  2. L'Oreal Advance Hair care Volume Filler Thickening Conditioner (Click Here To Purchase)
  3. Batiste Dry Shampoo (Click Here To Purchase )
I plan to repurchase all of these. This line of shampoos and conditioners are some of the best at the drugstore. I have tried several different types of them and they have all been wonderful. The Batiste dry shampoo is my holy grail hair product. It is the best dry shampoo that I've ever tried. It allows me to get about 2 sometimes 3 days out of a hair wash and it takes a while to build up in my hair. It helps take away the greasy appearance and it also helps add texture for when I curl my hair.

Now for Fragrance:
  1. Pink Sugar Eau de Toilette Perfume ( Click Here To Purchase)
  2. Victoria Secret Love Spell Fragrance Mist (Click Here To Purchase)
  3. Victoria Secret Love Spell Perfume (Click Here To Purchase)
  4. Instyle Fragrance Impression of Juicy Couture (Click Here To Purchase)
  5. Instlye Fragrance Impression of Be Delicious ( Scent No Longer Available)
  6. Britney Spears Believe Perfume ( Click Here To Purchase
All of these perfumes were great but I think the only one that I would repurchase would be Britney Spears Believe. I loved the scent of this perfume. I also loved the staying power of it. In general, I love pretty much all of the Britney Spears perfumes.

Now my favorite part; Makeup:
  1. Chapstick Mixstick in Vanilla Candy Cane Milkshake (Click Here To Purchase)
  2. Essie Apricot Oil ( Click Here To Purchase)
  3. Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat (Click Here To Purchase)
  4. Urban Decay De Slick Setting Spray (Click Here To Purchase)
  5. Milani Brow Shaping Gel (Click Here To Purchase
  6. Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in NW 20 (Click Here To Purchase)
  7. Lorac Cobra Mascara full size and sample (Click Here To Purchase)
  8. Lorac Front of the Line Pro Eyeliner (Click Here To Purchase)
  9. Stila Lipglaze in Kaleidoscope and Pinkice (Click Here To Purchase
My favorites from this bunch were the Essie apricot oil, Urban Decay de-slick setting spray, and the Mac Pro Longwear concealer. The Essie Apricot Oil I have already repurchased. It helps to moisture the areas around my nails. The Urban Decay setting spray really helps to keep my makeup on all day due to me having oily skin. Lastly, the Mac concealer is the best concealer that I have ever tried. I have already owned several bottles of it in the past, but I will definitely own it again in the future.

My last category is Home products:
  1. Bath and Body Works Candle in Hot Buttered Rum ( Scent No Longer Available)
  2. Bath and Body Works Fragrance Oil in Marshmallow Fireside (Click Here To Purchase)
I loved both of these products. I will continue to purchase the candles in different scents because sadly this scent is no longer available. These candles last a really long time, even when you burn them several days in a row.  The fragrance oil I will also repurchase probably in the summer because it is one of the best summer home scents.

Well I hope you all enjoyed knowing some my favorite products that I have recently used up. If there was a product that I did not touch on and you want to know more about it just send me an email to KatchingUpWithKaitlyn@gmail.com or simply leave a comment down below. Until next time....

XOXO,
Kaitlyn

Book Review: The Longest Ride

Hello everyone! Today's post will be a book review on "The Longest Ride" by Nicholas Sparks. First, before my review I want to share with you the synopsis on the inside cover of the book.

"Ira Levinson is in trouble. At ninety-one years old, in poor health, and alone in the world, he finds himself stranded on an isolated embankment after a car crash. Suffering from multiple injuries, he struggles to retain consciousness until a blurry image materializes and comes into focus beside him: his beloved wife, Ruth, who passed away nine years ago. Urging him to hang on, she forces him to remain alert by reminiscing about their lifetime together---how they met, the precious paintings they collected, the dark days of World War II, and its effect on them and their families. Ira knows that Ruth can't possibly be in the car with him, but he clings to her words and his memories, reliving the sorrows and joys that defined their marriage.
A few miles away, at a local bull-riding event,  Wake Forest University senior's life is about to change. Recovering from a recent breakup, Sophia Danko meets a young cowboy named Luke, who bears little resemblance to the privileged frat boys she has encountered at school. Through Luke, Sophia is introduced to a world in which the stakes are high: Reward and ruin---and even life and death--loom large in everyday life. As she and Luke fall in love, Sophia finds herself imagining a future far removed from her plans--- a future that Luke has the power to fulfill......if the secret he's keeping doesn't destroy it first.
Ira and Ruth, Sophia and Luke. Two couples who have little in common and who are separated by years and experience. Yet their lives will converge with unexpected poignancy, reminding us all that even the most difficult decisions can yield extraordinary journeys: beyond despair, beyond death,  the farthest reaches of the human heart."

So Now here is my review on this book. Overall, I would give this book a 3.5 out of 5. It was an easy read that kept my attention. I loved the story line between the two different couples. The characters were very relatable; as you got to know the characters the more that you cared about them.
However, the only complaint that I have about this book is the ending. I feel like all through out the book your attention was grabbed and you could feel that something huge was about to happen. This feeling lasted until the very last chapter of the book. While the ending was good and there was something huge that happened, I feel that the ending was very rushed. It almost felt like the author was given unlimited pages to give you the back story of the characters, but then the publisher told him he needs to wrap the previous 300 something pages up into 10 pages.
Despite the rushed ending, I believe it was a nice way to finish the book. I would recommend reading this book. "The Longest Ride" has definitely become one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks' books.

In case you did not know, "The Longest Ride" is the next book of Nicholas Sparks' books to be turned into a movie. I am so excited about this. In fact, this is the reason that I decided to read this book in the first place. I wanted to read it before seeing the movie. After reading this book, I have great expectations for this movie.

In April I will for sure be in the movie theater with my popcorn bucket. I hope that you all will be too. Until next time.....

XOXO,
Kaitlyn

Nail Polish Review: Essie Blossom Dandy

Today I am going to be reviewing for you a nail polish. This nail polish is Essie's Blossom Dandy.  It is from their new Spring 2015 collection. Now FYI my favorite nail polish brand would have to be Essie; while there can sometimes be a few misses from this brand, much like anything else, this polish color is definitely a well expected hit

Blossom Dandy appears in the bottle to be a nice mint colored polish. In fact, I thought that it would be quite similar to Essie's Mint Candy Apple, which is a rich and opaque mint color. Boy was I surprised once I painted my nails. Blossom Dandy did first appear as mint color, but the longer that it was on my nails, the prettier it became. Once it was on my nails, it appeared to be more a Robin's Egg blue color.

This color applied well with no streaks. It took only two coats to get this gorgeous color. Like all of my Essie favorites it has resisted chipping well. Also, like I previously stated, the longer that it is on your nails the prettier that it appears.

Essie Blossom Dandy is just the polish that I needed to get out of my dark winter polish rut. Where I live there has been tons of snow lately and while it was pretty at first, it just made me wish Spring would get here faster. While there is another round of snow heading my way, at least I can have this small touch of Spring on my fingers. I hope that no matter where you are that you can enjoy this touch of spring too.

XOXO,
Kaitlyn
